Call For Papers AEDSB Session at SEA

Call for Papers 93rd Annual Meeting of Southern Economic Association New Orleans, LA
November 18-20, 2023
The Association for Economic and Development Studies on Bangladesh (AEDSB) would like to organize two paper sessions at the next Southern Economic Association (SEA) conference to be held at the New Orleans Marriott from November 18-20 (Sat – Mon), 2023 and invite you to submit abstracts for this upcoming event.
Please email your abstracts to Dr. Raisa Sara (rsara@shsu.edu) and Dr. Israt Jahan (ijahan@uwlax.edu) and include the following information with your submission.
▪ Title of paper.
▪ Author’s (and co-author’s) name, address, affiliation, fax number, telephone number, and e-mail address.
▪ Two JEL code classifications – a complete list of JEL codes is available at: http://www.aeaweb.org/journal/jel_class_system.html
▪ An abstract of the paper
Without the above information, abstracts will not be accepted.
Note: There is no submission fee for accepted papers submitted through these sessions. However, all the participants of Bangladeshi origin must become AEDSB member. Please note that upon acceptance of the paper, the presenter will need to pay the registration fee for the conference to be able to present their paper at the conference.
The deadline for submission is March 15, 2023. The author(s) will be notified by March 30, 2023. We are open to all topics (i.e., the paper does not have to be on Bangladesh or a Development issue).
Graduate students and job market candidates are strongly encouraged to take this opportunity. This will be helpful for resume building and enhance presentation skills. The job market candidates will have the opportunity to practice before going for job interviews in January and subsequent campus visits. In addition, attending the SEA conference is also an excellent place for networking for young professionals and graduate students.
